Meet Andrik:

Andrik Becht

Andrik Becht is a postdoctoral researcher at the Brain and Development research center of the unit Developmental and Educational Psychology at Leiden University.

In his PhD project at Utrecht University, Andrik focused on the development of identity dynamics across adolescence and emerging adulthood, using daily identity assessments.

His current research is aimed at understanding the development of self-concept and identity formation processes from both a neurobiological and contextual perspective. Andrik also examines possible consequences when adolescents experience ongoing uncertainty about who they are, to ultimately answer the question why some adolescents thrive whereas others don’t.
