Anna van Steenbergen
Anna van Steenbergen is a research assistant at the Brain and Development Recearch Center. She studied Applied Neuroscience in Education and Child Studies at Leiden University and received her master’s degree in 2016. For her masterthesis, Anna assisted in the Attachment and Social Cognition study by Dr. Szilvia Biro and investigated infant’s frontal brain activation during the observation of distressed separation. As a research assistant, Anna has assisted several fMRI studies. These include the pregnancy project, Breekjaar, and the self-concept project. She is currently working on the Brainlinks project, which focuses on the development of prosocial behavior.
